Recently, a local bakery shop with a professionally setup email system sent out a broadcast to their customers. I am subscribed to this network because I LOVE SWEETS. It just so happened that I was out and about in meetings when I receive an email from this bakery shop about their fantastic deals going on for the week. I just couldn’t resist and made my way through traffic to take advantage of this deal.

It takes time, name recognition, and ongoing communication. Ever heard “Out of Sight, Out of Mind,” because I doubt all your customers live next door. Customers love a personal touch and what better way to give them that personalization than with a custom-made email update, addressed specifically to them by name. Well, I suppose you could bring out that old rotary phone and give them all a ring, or send a bulk mailing, but that would consume your day. You have a business to run.
